Denomination Alignment Quiz

Most people inherit a tradition before they ever examine one. You are raised in a church, or you find one near a new apartment, or a friend brings you along, and the theology arrives later as furniture already in the room. This assessment works the other way around. It asks what you actually think about authority, grace, sacrament, and who should govern a congregation, and then tells you which Christian traditions hold those same positions.

There are twenty questions and it takes about six minutes. Your answers are scored against twenty-five traditions at once, so a result can cross lanes. The report names your top three, the specific bodies within each one, and the sharpest place where your answers and your leading tradition part company. That last piece is usually the most interesting part.

I built this because the alternative on the internet is a personality quiz with a denomination glued to the end of it. This one is built on the actual dividing lines, written as an adherent of each position would put them, with weights set so that agreeing with everything places you nowhere. If you answer honestly and the result surprises you, the surprise is the finding.

What this is not. It makes no claim about which tradition is true, and it is not an invitation to leave the one you are in. It describes alignment, not authority. Everything is scored in your own browser: nothing you answer is sent to me, to a server, or to anyone else, and nothing is stored beyond your own device.
